The Heavy Engineering Division of The KCP Limited, established in 1955, is a sprawling, hi-tech complex that can roll out the entire range of heavy mechanical equipment for the core sector industries. This complex is one of the largest, well integrated workshops of its kind and has facilities for casting, fabricating and machining heavy equipment.

Casting


	The steel foundry with three induction furnaces and one arc furnace can cast low alloy and carbon steel castings up to 16 tons in a single piece. The castings are heat treated with the in-house heat treatment facilities which consists of two HT furnaces 3.5M high x 5.5M wide x 8.5M long and 2M high x 2.8M wide x 4.2M long.

Machining

Our machine shop is well equipped with a battery of horizontal and vertical boring machines. We also have a plano miller and a 8M dia x 50 module gear hobbing machine. In addition to the above specialized machinery, we also have conventional machines like lathes, drilling machines and so on. We have a turning capacity of 8.5M dia.

Fabrication

A large fabrication shop divided into light, medium and heavy KCP Fabricated Cement Mill units, we can handle up to 200MT single piece weight of fabricated structure. We can cold roll plates up to 75mm thickness and hot rolling upto 150mm thickness. Our welders are qualified to undertake welding of both ferrous as well as nonferrous materials.

ASME authorization of the Manufacture & Assembly of Power Boilers & Pressure Vessels (this enables us to use the ‘U’ & ‘S’ stamps for Pressure Vessels & Boilers respectively)
An approved vendor of Engineers India for the manufacture of pressure vessels up to 70 mm thickness (for Carbon Steel Material) & up to 30 mm thickness (for Stainless Steel Material)
